See our detailed list of cats and kittens available for adoption on Petfinder.com
You can also see more photos of our cats and kittens here on Flickr.com
We also have kittens that aren't listed yet which are too young to be adopted, but we can hold one for you until they're ready to go. If you don't see what you're looking for, just ask, we can help you find the perfect cat or kitten for your family.
There are always young adult female cats that need homes. Every year we get pregnant and nursing mother cats along with their litters of kittens. Most are barely a year old when they have their first litter. Consider adopting the mother cat instead of a kitten. These cats are young enough to still be fun, but they're more settled down and easier to care for than young kittens. We'll also have them spayed so you never have to worry about having kittens again!
If you have enough safe outdoor space and would be interested in taking feral cats please let me know. We have feral cats which have lived their lives outdoors. They've all been spayed/neutered, tested for feline leukemia, and been vaccinated. We also have feral kittens which are being tamed so they can live indoors. They'll need a little more TLC because they're still a bit shy and would do best in a quiet home without small children.
We also take "death row" cats from a kill shelter in NYC. These are cats who are turned into the shelter for numerous reasons and have little time to live. Every night on Facebook a new list of cats is posted which are doomed to death the following day. Most of the cats are adults or older kittens. Some are senior cats looking for a good home for the remainder of their lives. Many of the cats have minor health issues, such as an upper respiratory illness or "cold" which is easily and quickly curable. We treat them for their illness before adoption. If you want to "save" a cat from a certain death, consider one of the death row cats. We work with a NYC rescue to get the cats from the shelter and have them transported to us. Please consider saving one of these wonderful cats.
Please contact us or fill out an application if interested in adopting or if you're looking for a particular type of cat. If you don't see what you're looking for, fill out an application anyway to be put on our waiting list. Or we'll refer you to another local rescue or shelter.
Every spring is kitten season, there are so many unwanted kittens who need a home. So check back with us often, new kittens are available all the time. In the meantime, visit your local shelter. Shelters don't have enough room to keep them all and often have to euthanize perfectly healthy animals to make room for new ones. You can help save a little life by adopting from your local shelter.
"Prayer Of A Stray"
Dear God please send me somebody who'll care!
I'm tired of running, I'm sick with despair.
My body is aching, it's so racked with pain.
And Dear God I pray as I run in the rain,
"That someone will love me and give me a home.
A warm cozy bed I can call my own
My last owner neglected me and chased me away
To rummage in garbage and live as a stray.
But now God I'm tired and hungry and cold.
And I'm afraid that I'll never grow old.
They've chased me with sticks and hit me with stones
While I run in the streets just looking for bones!
I'm not really bad, please help if you can.
For I have become just a "VICTIM OF MAN!"
I'm wormy Dear God and I'm ridden with fleas and
All that I want is an owner to please!
If you find one for me God, I'll try to be good
I won't run away and I'll do as I should.
I don't think I'll make it too long on my own,
Cause I'm getting so weak and I'm so all alone.
Each night as I sleep in the bushes I cry,
Cause I'm so afraid that I'm gonna die!
And I've got so much love and devotion to give,
That I should be given a new chance to live.
So Dear God PLEASE, PLEASE answer my prayer
And send me somebody who WILL really care
