Cats of the Month

~Sami & Selim~

Every day in shelters all across the US, perfectly healthy, adoptable dogs and cats are killed. Many shelters just don't have the room to care for the huge number of animals, so they feel the only option is to euthanize them.

Rescues try to pull some of the animals on "death row" who are scheduled to be killed the following day, knowing that these dogs and cats are very adoptable and deserve a chance at life.

We saw that Sami and Selim were scheduled to die because they were too young to be adopted and knew we wanted to save them. We work with a rescue in NYC who quickly pulled these two boys from the shelter for us and we took them into our home.

Now Sami and Selim are quite happy.They're very friendly social boys who love people, other cats and even friendly dogs. They can be adopted as a pair, or would be happy in a home with other cats to play with. They're calm and quiet, don't get into trouble, perfect for any home environment.

They're around 9 months old, neutered, up to date on all vaccines, healthy and move in ready!

FOSTER HOMES NEEDED ASAP!!

If you have some extra room in your home to foster a cat or kittens PLEASE let us know. We're always getting calls to take in cats and kittens and just don't have enough space for all of them. Summer is here and we need homes for pregnant females who need a safe place to have their kittens. We also need temporary homes for adult male cats. Even if you can take in one or two cats on a short term basis we'd greatly appreciate it. We'll provide veterinary care and whatever else you may need.

We also need volunteers to help serve as board members, write grants, help with accounting, transport to spay/neuter appts, do home visits, etc. If you'd like to help, please let us know.
