Little Mews Rescue will consider adoptive families in Lenawee county and surrounding areas only. This is simply due to logistics and distance of travel for our volunteers. Our goal is to make the best rescue match taking into consideration the cat's background and your family's needs. Every cat is different: personality, temperament, energy, comfort with kids and other animals, medical needs, and more. We take all these factors into consideration when making a furever-home match. We are very careful about the placements we make. We do our best to match the right cat with the right adoptive home because we want this to be the pet's permanent home.
We appreciate you wanting to bring a cat into your home. In order for us to find the right pet for you, we need you to submit an adoption application.
We will review your application as soon as possible. If we have any questions or concerns, we will contact you for clarity.
Once approved to adopt, the search for your cat begins. Volunteers will begin to evaluate pets currently in our foster care program who may be a good fit for you and your family. We would also be open to discussing cats in our care that you are specifically interested in.
Once your application review is complete, a Little Mews Rescue volunteer will contact you to schedule a visit to meet in person and discuss all-things pet. During the visit, you will get to meet and interact with the cat or cats you are interested in.
